Contemporary Japanese Dining in West Africa: Santoku

Accra has a vibrant nightlife, if you’re looking for somewhere to enjoy a meal, have drinks, dance the night away, there are quite a few bars and resturants to choose from. However when it comes to fine dining, currently there is only one real option, Santoku. Located in the Villagio Vista complex, in the up-market area of Airport Residential, Santoku caters to those looking for that gourmet experience.

Currently perceived to be the best resturant in Accra at the moment, Santoku has an innovative design, with a modern African twist, providing Accra’s diners with an Asian fusion menu and sushi bar. Yes the best resturant in Accra is Japanese, and as Japan currently has more Michelin star resturants than Paris, its not surprising. Accrording to TimeOut Accra, the team from Nobu helped head chef Mohammed Ayres develop what has been described by some as a rich and decadent menu for one of Accra’s most beautiful resturants.
